Edgar C. Roberts

Edgar C. Roberts, 76, of Meadville, died Monday, September 14, 1959, at City Hospital after suffering a stroke Monday morning.

Roberts was born in West Millcreek Township, Erie County, June 19, 1883, a son of John and Sarah Crommell Roberts.  He moved to Meadville from the Erie area in 1907.  He married the former Grace Grindrod, January 28, 1928.

He had been employed for 42 years at the McCrosky Tool Corp. until his retirement in 1949.  He was active in Masonic Lodge Circles, being a member of Meadville Lodge F & AM, Solomon Royal Arch Chapter, Timothy Alden Council, Northwestern Commandery of Knights Templar and Coudersport Consistory.

Besides his widow he is survived by a son, Edgar J. of Meadville and three grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Erie Cemetery.
