Edgar H. Dillen, 72, of Woodcock Township, died Thursday, December 16, 1982, at Spencer Hospital. He had been in failing health for the past five years.
He was born December 11, 1910, at Utahville, a son of Harvey and Edith Gibbony Dillen. He married Margaret E. Confer September 18, 1936.
A welder by trade, Dillen first was employed by Greenville Steel Car and later by Westinghouse and Sunbeam Equipment Corp. at Meadville. He was also employed briefly as a spinner at the former American Viscose Co. and following his retirement worked for a short period of time as a night watchman at Channellock Inc.
He also was a member of Guys Mills Church of Christ.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Mrs. Jesse (Karen) Castellan of El Cajon, CA; four sisters, Mrs. Lorraine Pierce of Leeper, Mrs. Eleanor Kline of Kingman, AZ, and Mrs. Audrey Maziarz and Mrs. Bonnie Vardaro, both of Meadville; two brothers, John and Carl, both of Jamestown; and two grandsons.
He was preceded in death by a son, Edgar and two sisters.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
