Edgar J. Moree

Edgar J. Moree, age 75, of Espyville passed away on Friday morning February 14, 2025, in Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community.

He was born in Pittsburgh on February 27, 1949, a son of Edgar and Evelyn Moree.

Edgar was a 1967 graduate of Langley High School.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, was an animal lover, and was a muscle car collector.

He was a member of Pymatuning Sportsman’s Club, Conneaut Lake Sportsman’s Club, and Clairton Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his loving companion of 13 years, Kathleen “Kathy” DeFazio of West Mifflin, PA; two stepsons, Andy Mitrik and wife Jacqueline and Ryan Mitrik and his wife Melissa; four step grandchildren, Cooper, Mia, Aidan, and Ashton; two cousins, Joyce Tate and her husband Steve and Kim Moore and her husband Tim. Eddie as his friends referred to him will be especially remembered for his larger than life personality and his many friendships he cherished. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Theresa Mitrik Moree.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, 2-20-25 at 11:00 AM in Rose and Waid Funeral Home & Crematory, 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, 2-19-25 from 4:00-7:00 PM, and again on Thursday, 2-20-25 from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will be private in Beaver Cemetery and Mausoleum.
