Edgar Glen (Jughead) Trimble

November 25, 1928 — June 19, 2006

Edgar Glen (Jughead) Trimble, 77, of Conneaut Lake, died Monday, June 19, 2006, at Meadville Medical Center.

Born November 25, 1928, in Cooperstown, he was the son of Robert Glen Trimble and Mary Cowan Landfried.  He married Ginny Leach Ellis October 4, 1991 at Conneaut Lake.

He played basketball, football and baseball at Penn High and St. Michael's and graduated from St. Michael's High School, Greenville.

He served with the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict and received the Korean Service Medal.  He was employed by the US Postal Service in Greenville and retired from Greenville Steel Car in 1986.  He was also employed by Reimold;s Auction Service, Greenville, for many years.

Jughead was active in coaching youth and adult softball and baseball in the Conneaut Lake and Greenville areas.

He enjoyed dogs all his life and most recently, Choo Choo and Boots accompanying him on his truck rides.  He enjoyed socializing with his many friends.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Ginny Trimble of Conneaut Lake; two sons, Robert Trimble (Bonnie) of Dayton, OH and Tom Trimble (Melissa) of Columbia, MD; a daughter, Mary Jo Meyers (Ken) of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, Gracie Trimble, Daniel and Nathan Ralfsnider and his mother-in-law, Agnes Leach of Conneaut Lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services were held with the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.
