Edna Corbin, 90, formerly of Erie and a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community for the past 16 years, died there Wednesday, September 15, 1999 following a period of declining health.
She was born in Mina, NY, December 11, 1908, a daughter of Harry and Anna (Richtoris) Foster. She married Norman L. Corbin November 24, 1927 and he preceded her in death December 11, 1982.
She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene of Erie and worked domestically for families in Erie. She also enjoyed gardening.
Survivors, include a son, Harry Corbin of Southhampton, NY; a daughter, Betty Whitford of Kingsville, OH; a sister, Hazel Foster of Los Angeles, CA; three brothers, Clarence Foster of Erie, Vivian Foster of Ripley, NY and Blanchard Foster of French Creek, NY; six grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Florence Corbin and a brother, Lawrence Foster.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Erie Cemetery.
