Edna G. Harmison

December 11, 1907 — September 1, 1981

Mrs. Edna G. Harmison, 73, of Meadville, widow of Robert Gordon Harmison, died at City Hospital Tuesday, September 1, 1981, after a one-year illness.

She was born in Vernon Township, December 11, 1907, daughter of Clinton and Bessie Brennamen Blakeslee.  She then was adopted by Ed and Agatha Keefe.  Harmison died in 1947.

Mrs. Harmison was retired after 37 years of employment with the former Erie Railroad as a clerkstenographer in the Meadville office.  Following her retirement she was employed for a brief period as office secretary of radio station WMGW.

She was a member of St. Brigid's Roman Catholic Church, South Meadville Ladies Club and Spencer Hospital Aux.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mark (Roberta) Lakin of Addison, IL; a son, Scott Harmison of Saegertown; a sister, Mrs. A. R. (Helen) Young of Meadville; and four grandsons.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in St. Brigid Cemetery.
