Edna M. Pears

Edna M. Pears, 90, of Meadville, died Thursday, November 1, 2007 at Golden Living Center, Meadville.

She was born in Atlantic December 20, 1916, a daughter of the late Frank and Donna Free Davison.  She married Ernest M. Pears in 1935 and he preceded her in death August 2, 1980.

A homemaker, she was formerly employed at the Crawford County Care Center and was of the Wesleyan Methodist faith.

Survivors include a son, Howard E. Pears and his wife Nancy of Meadville; 3 sisters, Martha Bailey of Meadville; Mary Thomas of Greenville; and Lillian Ekholm of Jefferson, OH; a brother, John Davison of Sheakleyville; 4 grandchildren, Colonel Andy Pears and his wife Mary of Montgomery, AL; Joe Pears and his wife Mary of Meadville; James Pears of Orlando, FL; and Maryjane Amory and her husband David of Saegertown; 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald Pears; 2 brothers, Frank and Harold Davison; and infant twin granddaughters.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
