Edna Miller Simmons, 80, of Meadville, former dairy store worker, died Monday, February 28, 1994, at Meadville Medical Center following an illness of several months.
She was born in Pittsburgh, January 12, 1914, a daughter of John and Elizabeth Bauer Miller. She married Roy Werling. He preceded her in death in 1973. She subsequently married David Simmons, September 30, 1975. He survives.
She was a dairy store worker for the former Roos-Hotson Dairy. She previously worked at Talon Inc. for several years. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two stepdaughters, Mrs. David (Carol) Simmons, Jr. of New Stanton and Mrs. Thomas (Marjorie) McClean of Butler; two stepsons, David Simmons, Jr. of New Stanton and Douglas Simmons of Florida; two sisters, Amelia Gross of Meadville and Arvella Miller of Conneaut Lake; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Clara Hogue, Marie Schultz and LaVerna Maloney and four brothers, Albert Miller, Elmer Miller, John Miller and Carl Miller.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh.
