Mrs. Edna Schauberger, 86, wife of Harley Shauberger, died after an illness of several months, Wednesday, April 7, 1982, at United Methodist Home and Nursing Hospital, where she had been a resident since May 30, 1978.
She was born in Conneaut Township, Erie County, December 14, 1895, daughter of Harry and Nellie Scott Brewster. She married Mr. Shauberger in 1916.
Mrs. Shauberger was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Albion, where she was a former Sunday School teacher and member of the administrative board. She was a member of United Methodist Women and a former officer in the district and conference of the United Methodist Church. She served on the board of directors of Ruth M. Smith Home of Sheffield and United Methodist Home and Nursing Hospital, Meadville.
Mrs. Shauberger had been active in the Albion community, where she spent most of her life, having served on the election board, Red Cross, civil defense and as an organizer of Albion Library and Albion Park.
She was past president of Albion Garden Club, a member of Curlitt Club and Erie County Guild of Floral Art. She was a nationally accredited flower show judge.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, a resident of the United Methodist Home, include a daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Marie) Cease of Warren; a sister, Mrs. Wilmer (Elsie) Joslin of Girard; two brothers, William Brewster of Conneaut Township and Gary Brewster of Albion; a grandson and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Albion Cemetery.
