Edna T. Mincher

October 12, 1892 — February 23, 1983

Mrs. Edna T. Mincher, 90, of Vernon Township, widow of William Mincher, died at City Hospital Wednesday, February 23, 1983, after a period of failing health.

She was born at Avonmore, Westmoreland County, October 12, 1892, a daughter of David and Sarah Rosborough Taylor.  Her husband died in 1950.

A member of Stone United Methodist Church and the church's Beacon Light Sunday School Class, she also was a member of City Hospital Ladies Advisory Committee and Meadville Grange.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Wade (Janet) Snyder of Meadville; three sisters, Mrs. Sara Ewing and Mrs. Della Gesler, both of Corpus Christi, TX and Mrs. Julia Slonaker of Avonmore; a brother, David B. Taylor of Avonmore; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A brother and a sister preceded her in death.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Franklin Cemetery.
