Edward A. Hannah, 65, of New Richmond, died at City Hospital Tuesday, October 26, 1982, after a sudden illness.
He was born in Clarion County September 6, 1917, a son of Phillip and Vazilla Murray Hannah. He married Cleo Latchaw, who died in 1969.
In 1981, he retired from Abex, where he worked as a chipper for 30 years.
A World War II veteran who served with the Air Force in the Philippines, he was a member of International Molders and Allied Workers Local 69, Harm Jan Huidekoper Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2006, National Rifle Assn. and American Assn. of Retired Persons.
Survivors include three stepsons, Amos Latchaw of Cooperstown, Leroy Latchaw of Franklin and Charles Latchaw of Niagara Falls; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Joseph (Ellen) Sires of Polk; four brothers, Leo P. Hannah of Conneaut Lake, Richard C. Hannah of Harttown, Eugene F. Hannah of Rochester, NY and Donald R. Hannah of Sidney Center, NY; a sister, Mrs. Daniel (Bernice) Cowan of Colorado Springs; fifteen step-grandchildren and fifteen step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Peters Cemetery.
