Edward A. Potosky, Sr.

Edward A. Potosky, Sr., 89, of New Castle and formerly of Guys Mills, died at home Monday, September 2, 2019.

He was born in Sagamore, PA March 20, 1930 a son of Adam and Anna Urbanick Potosky.  He first married Harriett M. Schau October 6, 1962 and she preceded him in death June 5, 2002.  He subsequently married Mary L. Bickel July 10, 2004 and she preceded him in death in 2008.  He subsequently married Fay Evans in 2009 and she survives

Ed was a construction worker involved in many projects in the area over the years, working for Walker Construction and Jack Wasson Construction.  In his free time, he enjoyed gardening.

Survivors, in addition to his wife Fay of 10 years, include: three sons, Edward Potosky, Jr. (Melinda) of Saegertown, Adam Potosky (Renee) of High Point, NC and Michael Potosky (Andrea) of Guys Mills; a daughter, Anna Landers (Bernard) of Cambridge Springs; ten grandchildren, Nathan Landers, Raechelle Landers, Rebekah Landers, Ian Landers, Hayzen Potosky, Mitchell Potosky, Lexy Potosky, Mason Potosky, Lainey Potosky and Allie Potosky; a brother, Alex Potosky of Guys Mills and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and first and second wives, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Potosky and step-brothers and step-sisters.

Calling hours will be Thursday, September 5th from 12-2 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.

The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Marc Stephenson, Pastor of First United Brethren Church of New Castle, officiating.

Interment will be in St. Hippolyte Cemetery.
