Edward DePascale, of Meadville, who founded a jewelry store in Meadville in 1912, died at Spencer Hospital, Saturday, November 25, 1961, after an illness of several months.
In more recent years, he and his daughter, Mary, had operated a travel agency at the store at the corner of Water and Center Streets. From 1915 to 1920, he operated a private bank, known as Bank Italienne.
Mr. DePascale was a member of St. Birgid's Church, of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and of the Italian Civic Club.
He is survived by how widow, the former Anne E. DiLorenzo, whom he married July 19, 1917. He is also survived by six daughters, Miss Mary of Meadville, Mrs. David (Irma) Davies of Sharon, Mrs. John (Gloria) Mongillo of Salamanca, NY, Mrs. J. Robert (Inez) Markel of Newburgh, NY, Mrs. Herbert (Amelia Constance) Thoma of Cleveland, and Mrs. William (Anna) Meyer of Pittsburgh; a son, Peter at home; three sisters, all of New York City; and ten grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in St. Brigid's Cemetery.
