Edward G. Hall, 75, of Meadville, died Monday, February 23, 1998 at Meadville Medical Center following a short illness.
He was born July 15, 1922 in Meadville, a son of the late W. Preston and Marian Little Hall. He married Dorothy R. Emerick, February 8, 1947. She survives.
Mr. Hall retired from the valuation department of Conrail in 1982 following 37 years for work. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps. having served in World War II and Korea. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Masonic Lodge #234 and Kismet Grotto. He was a member of the Ramblin Square, square dance group and had been a caller and teacher of square dancing for 25 years. He was also a member of the Marine Corps League, volunteer at Meadville Medical Center, and especially enjoyed his grandchildren as well as bowling, playing cards and woodworking.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Mrs. Thomas J. (Becky) Hall of Meadville; a daughter, Linda Sue Webb of Conneautville; a sister, Jean Martin of Canton, NC; a brother, Charles A. Hall of Erie; four grandchildren, Geoffrey Hall, Jonathan, Susan and Michael Webb; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
