Edward Glenn “Skip” Mangus, 64, of Guys Mills died at home unexpectedly Saturday, June 13, 2020.
He was born in Meadville January 21, 1956 a son of Edward B. and Audine Louise Slingluff Mangus. He married Linda Derby September 13, 1975 and she survives.
He was a 1973 graduate of Randolph East Mead High School. He worked as an auto mechanic first at the former Kirkpatrick Buick Pontiac then owning and operating his own business, The Mangus Garage since 1997. He attended New Richmond United Methodist Church. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his granddaughters. He was always very kind hearted and a friend to everyone.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Linda of 44 years, include: two sons, Benjamin Mangus of Meadville and Matthew Mangus (Laura) of Erie; six granddaughters, Baillie, Cassidy, Kendall, Jaycee, Madison and Megan; his father and step-mother, Edward and Beverly Mangus of Guys Mills; a brother, David Mangus of Townville and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, June 16th from 4-7 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, June 17th at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Harry Zurasky, Pastor of New Richmond United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Smith Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
