Edward J. Freeauf, Jr.

Edward J. (Buzz) Freeauf, Jr., 81, of Meadville and formerly of Conneaut Lake, died Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Meadville Medical Center. He was born in Pittsburgh June 5, 1926, a son of the late Edward Joseph and Marion Vera Yeager Freeauf, Sr. He married Estella Roethlisberger September 6, 1952. He was a US Air Force Veteran of World War II having served from 1944 to 1946. He was a 1952 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. He was owner and pharmacist of the former Freeauf Pharmacy, Conneaut Lake from 1956 to 1978 and previously worked there for his father from 1952 to 1956. A member of Fifth Street Presbyterian Church, Conneaut Lake, he was also a member of Conneaut Lake American Legion, Conneaut Lake Joint Municipal Authority, Meadville Roundtable and American Pharmacy Assn. He enjoyed traveling. Survivors, in addition to his wife Estella of 54 years, include a sister, Elaine Skelton (Ben) of Sun City, AZ and four nephews and two nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn LaJunesse. Services were held at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home. Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
