Edward John Derricott

Edward John Derricott, 70, of Woodcock Township, died Monday, May 4, 1981, at Spencer Hospital after an illness of several months.

He was born at Carrolltown, Cambria County, April 28, 1911, son of John and Emma Binder Derricott.  He married Phyllis Krider, November 29, 1936.  He was employed for 37 years with American Viscose Division of FMC, now Avtex Fibers Inc., retiring from the spinning department.  He was a US Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Mrs. R. J. (Judith) Haylett of Conneaut Lake; a son, John of Exton; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Luther of Erie; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
