Edward L. Dangel, Sr., 79, of Espyville, died Monday, July 28, 1986, at his home following a two-month illness.
Mr. Dangel was born in West Mifflin, September 3, 1906, a son of Louis and Catherine Linn Dangel. He married Elsie Sharbaugh, June 27, 1928. She preceded him in death June 27, 1975.
He retired in 1972 from National Tube Works, McKeesport, as a welder. He was a member of St. Agatha's Roman Catholic Church; Walnut Creek Golf Club, Jamestown; 11th Ward Club, McKeesport; Swedish Singing Society Inc., McKeesport and McKeesport Moose Lodge 7460.
Survivors include two daughters, Irma Marie Dangel of Tequesta, FL and Mrs. George (Marlene) Beisler of Meadville; three sons, Edward L. Dangel, Jr. of Berea, OH, Robert C. Dangel of Sewickley and Howard G. Dangel of McKeesport; one sister, Katherine Hoak of McKeesport; two brothers, George and Louis Dangel of McKeesport; eighteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Allen J. Dangel.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in St. Agatha's Cemetery.
