Edward L. Zuck

Edward L. Zuck, 69, of Guys Mills, died Sunday, July 7, 2013 at UPMC Hamot, Erie.

He was born December 14, 1943 in West Hickory, a son of Howard M. and Marjorie Gifford Zuck.  He married Lois Miller April 15, 1967.

Ed was a 1961 graduate of Tidioute High School.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1964, stationed in Germany.  He was employed for many years as a journeyman pipefitter with the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 47.  He previously worked at FMC and Talon.

Ed was affiliated with Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, Guys Mills and was a former member of the Meadville Club.  He enjoyed golfing, reading, civil war history, formerly riding motorcycles, and was an excellent athlete and baseball player growing up.

Survivors, in addition to his loving wife Lois, include three daughters, Lisa Reynolds and her husband Daniel of Ulster, Mary Burchard and her husband John of Meadville, and Diane Worley and her husband Michael of Saegertown; a son, Christopher Blair of Erie; a brother, Dennis Zuck of Tidioute; seven grandchildren, India, Daniel, Samuel, Sydney, Ella, Jack, and Grace; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Myrna Connor.

Calling hours are today (Tuesday) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The funeral and committal service will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Alice McClymonds, Pastor of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2006, Meadville.
