Edward H. Santner, 52, former supervisor of accounting at Westinghouse Electric Corp. here, died last night at Spencer Hospital after suffering a heart attack.
Santner, who lived in Meadville, was active in many Meadville civic endeavors. At one time he was president of the Rotary Club.
Because of a heart ailment, he was forced to retire from his position with Westinghouse about a year ago.
He was born in Cladridge September 13, 1906, a son of Anton H. and Marie Wesley Santner. He was married to the former Lois Whiteman December 24, 1929.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Jeanette Lodge 750, Free and Accepted Masons. He was a graduate of schools in Claridge and Irwin.
Besides his widow, and mother, Mrs. Marie Santner of Irwin, survivors include three sons, 2nd Lt. Lynn E. with the Air Force in Germany, A. Dale and Jon C., both at home; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Sample of Phoenixville, Miss Ann Santner and Mrs. Helen Johnston, both of Irwin; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Jeanette Memorial Cemetery.
