Edwin Alden Humeston, 66, of Meadville, died Wednesday evening at Meadville City Hospital after an illness of one week.
Mr. Humeston, lifelong resident of Crawford County, was born at Guys Mills, January 15, 1876, the son of Edwin Ruthven Martha Alden Humeston.
He was a graduate of Linesville High School, matriculated at Allegheny College and was graduated from Bucknell University in the class of 1899. While at Bucknell, he was affiliated with Sigma Alpha Epsilon social fraternity and the University Club.
Mr. Humeston was a member of the First Baptist Church and for the past several months had been a member of the engineering department at the Keystone Ordnance Works.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Booth Humeston; two daughters, Mrs. Don L. Larrabee of Williamsport and Mrs. William M. Whitten of Lititz; two sons, Edwin Alden Humeston, Jr. of Waynesburg and John Alden Humeston of Wilkinsburg and one sister, Mrs. Robert O-Blenis of Apponaug, RI.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Guys Mills Cemetery.
