Edwina Huff (Hughes) Jacobs

Edwina Huff Jacobs, 80, of Avon Park, FL and formerly of Rocky Grove, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 20, 2017 at her residence.

She was born November 13, 1936 in Rocky Grove, a daughter of Edwin and Helen Heckathorne Hughes.  She married Charles Frederick Huff June 23, 1956 and he preceded her in death August 4, 2007.  She subsequently married James Jacobs in June 2008 and he preceded her in death June 3, 2017.

Edwina was a graduate of Rocky Grove High School.  She worked as a case worker for the Dept. of Public Welfare.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Avon Park.

Edwina was dearly loved by all of her friends and family.  She was a woman of strong faith and was very active in her church.  She was willing to help anyone she saw in need.

Survivors include two sons, Rick Huff and his wife Marianne Suprys of Linesville and Robert Huff of Coppell, TX; a granddaughter, Jennie May Huff of Linesville; a sister, June Bell of Albertville, AL; and nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, August 30th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.

The funeral and committal service will be Thursday, August 31st at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Jamey Huselton, Pastor of Cornerstone Church of God, officiating,

Interment will be in Lamey Cemetery, Oakland Township, Venango County.
