Edythe E. Smith

Edythe E. Smith, 84, a resident of Rolling Fields Nursing Home in Conneautville, formerly of Meadville, a homemaker, died Sunday, February 13, 1994, at the nursing home following a period of declining health.

She was born in Meadville, September 10, 1909, a daughter of Clyde A. and Sylvia McMichael McMullen.  She married Warren E. Smith, Jr., February 9, 1929.  He preceded her in death November 25, 1981.

She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church and the Crawford County Humane Society.

Survivors include a son, Warren E. Smith, III of Conneaut Lake; two daughters, Mrs. William (Marilyn "Bunny") Smith of Wilmington, DE and Mrs. Robert (Carol) Cares of Ann Arbor, MI; a sister, Martha Harpin of Marlboro, MA; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth L. Gordon and Esther I. Flynn.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
