Edythe B. Kendall, 92, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community, died Friday, September 29, 1989, at Wesbury following an extended illness.
Mrs. Kendall was born in Mercer County, November 15, 1896, a daughter of John E. and Arminta Pool Brocklehurst. She married Charles C. Kendall September 3, 1930. He preceded her in death February 11, 1943.
She had been a cook for many years at the former Alpha Chi Rho fraternity chapter at Allegheny College. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, the church's United Methodist women and the church's Friendship Circle. She was a member of Golden Crown Chapter of Order of Eastern Star. She had attended the former Meadville Commercial College.
Survivors include two sons, Neil A. Kendall of Houston, TX and Leo P. Kendall of Loughborough, England; one sister, Vera Noble of Sharon; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Zeora Williams, Ruth Brocklehurst and Florence Alter; and three brothers, Basil Kendall, Frank Kendall and Clair Brocklehurst.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
