Effie A. Stainbrook

Mrs. Effie A. Stainbrook, 88, of Meadville, died at her home Thursday, November 26, 1959.

She was born in Pithole, Venango County, November 15, 1891, a daughter of Charles Wesley and Emily Smith Pond.  Her parents pioneered in the oil industry from Pithole to various other locations and finally to Bartlesville, OK.

She was the widow of William David Stainbrook, whom she married May 23, 1910.

She was employed as a seamstress for several years, was a member of Stone Methodist Church, attended school in New York and graduated from dressmaking school in Iowa.

Surviving are a son, Richard at home and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
