Elda Cora Rodgers

September 29, 1895 — August 26, 1973

Miss Elda Cora Rodgers, 77, a resident of Methodist Home for the Aged for two and a half years, died at the Methodist Nursing Hospital Sunday, August 26, 1973, following a long illness.

She was born in Jackson Township, Venango County, September 29, 1895, a daughter of William E. and Alice J. Thompson Rodgers.

She had been employed as a bookkeeper by Keystone View Co.; later as a secretary in the Crawford County Extension Service office an as secretary to the principal of First District Elementary School.  She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the church's United Methodist Women.  She also was a graduate of Meadville Commercial College.

Survivors include two sisters, Miss Blanche B. Rodgers at the Methodist Home for the Aged, Meadville and Mrs. Leta Morgan of Sharon.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
