Elda M. Dickson

Elda M. Dickson, 76, of Meadville, died Tuesday, May 12, 1998, at Meadville Medical Center following an extended illness.

She was born in Polk, December 28, 1921, a daughter of Homer and Laura Isabel McClelland White.  She married W. Karl (Mick) Dickson, November 25, 1940.  He preceded her in death January 28, 1965.

She graduated  from Franklin High School.  She retired from the housekeeping department of the former City Hospital in 1982 following 17 years.

She was a member of First Baptist Church.

She enjoyed crocheting and jigsaw puzzles.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. David (Mary) Waid and Mrs. Dale (Linda) Winans, both of Meadville; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Wheeler and a sister, Ruby Wheeler.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
