Eleanor Boylan

August 17, 1897 — December 26, 1871

Mrs. Eleanor Boylan, 74, of Meadville, died at City Hospital, Sunday, December 26, 1871, after being stricken by a stroke at her home on Friday.

She was born in Fairfield Township August 17, 1897, a daughter of Harry J. and Roberta Cutshall Dean.  She married Mr. O. Glenn Boylan June 12, 1919.

Mrs. Boylan taught school in the Crawford County area in her early years.  She was a 50-year member of Stone United Methodist Church and was a member of its Marriott Sunday School Class and the Women's Society of Christian Service.  She was a past president of Crawford County Council of Parent-Teacher Assoc.

Surviving are her husband; three sons, Dr. Roger Boylan of Tempe, AZ, Howard of Wesifield, NJ and Richard of Bethany, OK; a sister, Mrs. Wilbur (Dorothy) Miller of Meadville; a brother, Morris Dean of Meadville and eight grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
