Eleanor L. Jenney, of Meadville, a soup kitchen volunteer, died Wednesday, March 10, 1993, at home following a brief illness.
She was born in Munson, a daughter of Joseph C. and Ellen Adina Barnes Spanogle. She married Theodore R. Jenney, January 21, 1932. He preceded her in death June 6, 1973.
She was employed by the Association for retarded Citizens for 20 years. She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church, communion steward, a former Sunday school teacher and a member of the United Methodist Women. She was an active volunteer with the Meadville Soup Kitchen. She was a member of the National Assn. for Retarded Citizens.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Nancy) Pears of Meadville and Mrs. Ross (Marianne) Buck of Storrs, CT; two sisters, Miriam Wriglesworth of Grampian and Clarabel Tubridy of Niagara Falls, NY; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and several neices and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two infant daughters; a son, Theodore Jenney and three brothers, Fred, William and Dudley Spanogle.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
