Eleanor M. Knauff, 84 of Stoneboro, passed away on January 14, 2023 at Avalon Springs in Mercer.
Eleanor was born in Findley Twp., Mercer County on April 30, 1938 to the late Robert G. Barber, Sr., and Minnie Florence (King) Barber.
Mrs. Knauff worked for a number of years at the former Tops Market in Meadville as a Cashier. Eleanor attended Mercer Area Schools, and married her husband, Donald Knauff Sr., in 1974; he survives at home. Additionally, Eleanor was a member of the New Lebanon Community Church. She enjoyed the outdoors, taking camping trips and boat fishing with her husband. For many years, Eleanor had an affinity for sewing and frequenting casinos, and enjoyed collecting different things as a hobby.
Survivors left to cherish Eleanor’s memory include her husband, Donald Knauff Sr.; daughters Deborah (Todd) Frampton of Harrisville, Cynthia (John) Lucchesi of Beaver Falls, and Lorrie Jackson of Cleveland; sons Kenneth (Lisa) Timblin of Mercer, David Timblin of Springboro, and step-son Donald (Tammy) Knauff, Jr. of Grove City; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters Norma Woods, and Nancy (Jack) Leone; and a brother Robert (Shirley) Barber Jr.
Preceding Eleanor in death are her parents; her brother, George Barber; son-in-law, Mitch Jackson; and a step-son, Steven Knauff.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home - Stoneboro - 99 Franklin St., where visitation will be held from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM on Friday, January 20th. A funeral service will follow visitation at 2:00 PM, the Reverend Virginia LaVan Gadsby officiating.
Entombment will take place at Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City, PA.
Per the family’s wishes, memorial contributions can be made to the New Lebanon Community Church, 4166 Mercer St, Sandy Lake, PA 16145.
