Elinor C. Knights

Mrs. Elinor C. Knights, 94, of Meadville, died at the Methodist Nursing Hospital Tuesday, November 14, 1972.  She had been in failing health for some time.

Mrs. Knights was born at Norwich Corners, Oneida County, NY, on April 6, 1878, a daughter of Benjamin F. and Mary Jane Howell Crook.  She was the widow of Arthur H. Knights who died in 1942.  Mrs. Knights was a 1903 graduate of Cortland State Normal School and taught school in Herkimer County, New York for 53 years.  She was a member of Herkimer First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jay (Joyce) Tomlinson of Oneida, NY and a son, Paul A. of Meadville; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
