Elizabeth Jean (Betty) Barnard, 69, of Meadville, a waitress, died Monday, July 19, 1993, at Meadville Medical Center after a period of failing health.
She was born in Meadville, November 10, 1923, a daughter of Arthur J. and Irene Putman Pegan. She had been married to Dale M. Barnard.
She worked as a waitress at Perkins Restaurant in Meadville for several years. She previously worked at Keystone Ordnance Works. She was a member of the Heart Club, and she was an avid baseball fan.
Survivors include two daughters, Kelly Ann Labruzzo and Karen Lee Chess both of Meadville; two sons, Dale A. Barnard and Jeff L. Barnard both of Meadville; a sister, Arlene Monnin of Cambridge Springs; a brother, John Pegan of Elyria, OH; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Pegan.
Interment was in Cochranton Cemetery.
