Elizabeth F. Devore

Elizabeth F. (Betty) DeVore, 84, of Meadville, widow of Leroy C. DeVore, died Thursday, October 2, 1986, at Meadville Medical Center following a brief illness.

Mrs. DeVore was born in Meadville, October 2, 1902, a daughter of Reuben and Marion Stuart Frey.  She married Leroy C. DeVore, May 28, 1927.  He died October 9, 1981.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church; Crusaders Sunday School class; and United Methodist Women.  She was a 1925 graduate of Western Reserve University, Cleveland; received her pilot's license in 1940; and was active in Civil Air Patrol during World War II.

She is survived by three cousins, one niece and one nephew.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
