Elizabeth "Jean" Deal

Elizabeth “Jean” Deal, 89 of Stoneboro, passed away on March 21, 2023 at The Pines at Grove Manor surrounded by her loving family.

Jean was born in Meadville, PA on December 16, 1933 to the late Bennet and Elizabeth (Holley) Collins.

She was a graduate of Sandy Lake High School, class of 1951

She worked at Cooper Bessemer from 1953 – 1961 and the Lakeview School District cafeteria, retiring in 1990.

Jean loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to bake and was known for her delicious pies! She also enjoyed sewing, putting puzzles together and shopping.

Jean married her beloved husband, Cornelius John Deal on September 28, 1956. He preceded her in death.

Jean is survived by her daughters: Jennifer Leigh (Deal) Peck and husband Gene of Harmony, PA; Barbara Jean (Deal) Curry and companion, Steve Haney of Franklin, PA. Four grandchildren: Cody Becker and wife Crystal of Evans City, PA; Kady Becker and companion, Justin Piotti of Cresson, PA; Daniel Peck and his wife Tiffany of Hookstown, PA; Heather Vultaggio and husband Jason of Canada. Great-grandchildren: Piper Becker; Jett Piotti; DJ Peck; Brenna Peck; Aiden Peck; Kiley Peck; Aubrey Peck; Azaiah Ordich; Anthony Vultaggio; and Adrian Vultaggio.

In addition to her husband, Jean was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and brother, a brother-in-law, two beloved nephews, and her sweet little dog, Penny.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 3236 S. Main Street, SANDY LAKE, where visitation for family and friends will be from 1 pm – 3 pm on Friday, March 24, 2023.

Interment will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery
