Elizabeth M. Diehl

Mrs. Elizabeth M. Diehl, 79, widow of Thomas J. Diehl, died Monday morning, December 4, 1961, after suffering a heart attack at her home in Meadville.

The former Elizabeth Dornhoefer, she had spent her entire life in this area.  Thomas Diehl, whom she married September 11, 1904, died in May of 1956.

Mrs. Diehl was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ and of its Ladies Aid Society and Rebecca Circle, and a member of Alethea Rebekah Lodge, IOOF.

She is survived by five sisters, Mrs. Anne Grausam of Detroit, MI, Mrs. Katherine Almon of Youngstown, OH, Mrs. R. E. Gill of Rochester, NY, and Miss Mary and Miss Fanny Dornhoefer of Meadville; two brothers, the Rev. John Dornhoefer of Fort Myers, FL and George H. Dornhoefer of Saegertown; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
