Ella Miles

Mrs. Ella Miles, 89, who had resided at the Methodist Home for the Aged for the past 13 years, died suddenly on Saturday, April 22, 1972, at the home.

She was born at Waterford on December 27, 1882, a daughter of Irvice and Rose Johnson Hayes.  In 1928, she married Wesley Miles who died in 1944.  Mrs. Miles was graduated from Syracuse University in 1911 and was a school teacher in Erie County and a Long Island, NY.  She had been a member of Asbury United Methodist Church at Waterford since 1897.

Survivors include a nephew, Willis B. Hayes of Mid Pines, CA; a niece, Mrs. Lester Ebisch of Erie and several cousins.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Waterford Cemetery.
