Ella Smalenberger

February 6, 1871 — January 1, 1753

Mrs. Ella Smalenberger, 66, of Meadville, died Monday evening at Meadville City Hospital, where she was taken following a sudden illness suffered several hours earlier while downtown.

She was the widow of Peter Henry Smalenberger and was a sister-in-law of Fire Chief Charles Smalenberger.  A resident of Meadville since early childhood, she was a member of Meadville Review of WBA and was long actively identified with the work of Stone Methodist Church.

Surviving are one son, Robert M. Clark at home; one sister, Mrs. Harry Carothers of Butler and a niece, Mrs. Carl Van Gorder and a nephew, Royal Carothers, also of Butler.  The Misses Emma and Ella Smalenberger of Meadville, are her sisters-in-law.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
