Ella V. Hartshorne

Mrs. Ella V. Hartshorne, 96, of Meadville, died at Spencer Hospital Wednesday afternoon, October 11, 1972.

She was born in Derry Township, Westmoreland County, on February 14, 1876, the youngest daughter of David and Julianna Shrum Reed.  She was the widow of Ernest E. Hartshorne who died in September of 1948.  Mrs. Hartshorne was a member of St. Brigid's Roman Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society of the church and the Legion of Mary Aux.

Survivors include a daughter, Miss Helena Hartshorne of Meadville; a son, Eugene E. of New Derry; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.  A son, Howard of Wattsburg, died in 1971.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in St. Vincent's Cemetery.
