Elmer H. Earley, 96, a resident of United Methodist Home and Nursing Hospital since October 1980, died at the home, Saturday, December 4, 1982, after a lengthy illness.
He was born at Reynoldsville, May 20, 1886, a son of Samuel and Emma White Earley. He married Etta Medburg in 1912. She died in 1959.
He retired in 1956 from his job as conductor with Erie Railroad.
He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Wilson (Ruth) Sweeney, Dorothy Earley and Mrs. William (Doris) Bohrer, all of Meadville and Mrs. Gladys Marnen of Erie; a son, Kenneth of Tucson, AZ; thirteen grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
