Elmer L. Miller

Elmer L. Miller, 76, of Meadville, died Tuesday, February 26, 1991, at Meadville Medical Center following a sudden illness.

He was born at Pittsburgh, February 20, 1915, a son of John and Elizabeth Bauer Miller.  He married Thelma M. Shearer September 20, 1938.  She survives.

He retired in 1976 from PennDOT after 15 years and had previously worked as a truck driver by Allstate Freight Co.  He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ and was a former member of the Meadville Rescue Squad.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Duane (Linda) Goodwell of Sharon; two sons, Paul G. Miller of Hermitage and Charles E. Miller of Saegertown; three sisters, Amelia Gross and Edna Simmons, both of Meadville and Arvilla Miller of Conneaut Lake; four brothers, Carl, Harry and Ralph Miller, all of Meadville and Howard Miller of Conneaut Lake; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
