Elmer R. Busch, 79, of Ocala and formerly of Meadville, PA, died March 30, 2007 at Legacy House Hospice, Ocala.
He was born in Seneca, PA July 6, 1927, a son of Charles and Hazel Ray Busch. He married Virginia L. Whiteman August 2, 1947.
He was a U.S. Army Air Corps. Veteran of World War II, serving from 1945 to 1947 in the Pacific Theater of Operations.
He worked as a sales counselor at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Meadville from 1969 to 1992.
He was a member of Ocala West United Methodist Church and was an avid bowler, golfer, and tennis player.
Survivors in addition to his wife, include 4 children, David P. Busch of Kansas City, MO; Karen L. Henderson of San Antonio, TX; Gwendolyn M. Latessa of Poland, OH; and Jeffrey A. Busch of Frederick, MD; 5 grandchildren; a brother, Ray Busch of Erie, PA; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister.
Calling hours are Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Meadville.
