Elsie Fralick Rossbacher

Elsie Fralick Rossbacher, 97, formerly of Corry, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Wesbury United Methodist Community in Meadville.

She was born December 24, 1911, in Concord Twp., Erie Co., PA the daughter of Oscar and Eva Holmes Fralick.  She married Rev. Edward P. Rossbacher August 4, 1934 and he preceded her in death January 30, 1989.

She graduated from the Corry Area High School.  She lived most of her life in Corry where she was a homemaker and worked for a time at a Corry dry cleaner.  She and her husband moved to the Wesbury United Methodist Community in Meadville in 1986.

She is survived by her daughters, Nadine Chase of Fairview and Emma Williams of Edinboro, grandchildren Dirk Chase of Girard and Robin Whitmeyer of Columbus, OH, six great grandchildren and sons-in law’s Jack Williams and Donald Chase.

Besides her husband, parents and six siblings, she was preceded in death by a daughter Dinah Rossbacher of Buffalo, NY and a granddaughter Stacy Chase Jacobs of Fairview.

A remembrance service will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in McCracken Chapel of Cribbs Home of Wesbury United Methodist Community, 31 N. Park Avenue, Meadville.

Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wesbury United Methodist Foundation, 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville, PA 16335 or the First United Methodist Church, 650 Worth Street, Corry, PA 16497.
