Mrs. Elsie Landers Proctor, 65, of Meadville, widow of William Launders and Harold Proctor, died Tuesday, October 29, 1985, at Hillside Home following a one-year illness. She had been a patient at Hillside Home since February.
Mrs. Proctor was born at Cambridge Springs, April 3, 1920, a daughter of Guy and Adda McKrell Skelton.
She married William Launders, who preceded her in death, and subsequently married Harold Proctor, who also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Proctor had retired in January from the nursing staff at Spencer Hospital. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, and was a 1938 graduate of Cambridge Springs High School and a 1966 graduate of the licensed practical nursing course at Erie Tech. She was also a member of Vernon Grange and had worked as a volunteer with Girl Scouts for 20 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Beverly Blythe of Williamsburg and Mrs. Carol Chornack of Las Vegas, NV; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Susan Breckenridge of Meadville and Mrs. Lynne Sancken of Tolona, IL and eleven grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Beatty Cemetery, Vernon Township.
