Elva M. Meddock, 83, who had resided at the United Methodist Home for the Aged since September 1969, died at the United Methodist Nursing Hospital Sunday evening, April 28, 1974, after a long illness.
She was born in Tylersburg on April 7, 1891, a daughter of William and Annora Mealy Kelly. She married Mr. Meddock on October 5, 1960. The couple formerly lived in Nokomis, FL. Mrs. Meddock was a member of Tylersburg United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women of the church.
Survivors include her husband, who also resides at the United Methodist Home for the Aged; three sisters, Mrs. Zelma Knapp of Rosswell, NM, Mrs. Erdie Darling of Sarasota, FL and Mrs. Vercel Baker of Nokomis; and a brother, Oren Kelly of Brookville.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Spring Cemetery, Spring Township.
