Emery Charles Ditch

July 18, 1872 — January 1, 1753

Emery Charles Ditch, 78, retired Erie Railroad conductor, died late Sunday evening at the home of a son, Herbert Ditch of Meadville, where he had been residing.

Born at Freebrug, OH, Mr. Ditch spent his married life in Meadville.  His retirement followed 41 years and nine months of service.

Mrs. Ditch died 19 years ago.  Surviving are three daughters and three sons, Mrs. Edna Templeton, Mrs. Florence Harvey, Mrs. Helen Stallard, Lawrence and Herbert Ditch, all of Meadville and Fred Ditch of Cleveland; eighteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; a brother, John and a sister, Miss Ella Ditch, both of Alliance, OH.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
