Emil J. Lemke

Emil J. Lemke, 90, of Saegertown, died Monday, May 5, 1997 at Meadville Medical Center following a sudden illness.

He was born September 23, 1906 in North Star, MN, a son of the late Gustav and Mary Roth Lemke.  He married Grace McMahon, October 1, 1936.  She survives.

Mr. Lemke worked for 30 years at FMC Corp., retiring in 1971 from the shipping department.  He was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ.  He enjoyed gardening and working on puzzles.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Phyllis) McGowan of Cheektowaga, NY and Mrs. Francis (Norma) Payne of Conneautville; one son, Dale Lemke of Conneaut Lake; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
