Emily C. Parker

Emily C. Parker, 60, of Meadville, died unexpectedly at home Tuesday, June 9, 2009.

She was born in Meadville January 5, 1949 a daughter of Paul W. and Margaret E. Harden Waid.  She married Stanley R. Parker April 4, 1970 and he survives.

She worked in the transportation department at Wesbury United Methodist Community and previously worked as a nurse’s aid at Wesbury and the former City and Spencer Hospitals.

She was a 1967 graduate of Meadville High School.  She enjoyed collecting angels and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors, in addition to her husband Stanley, include: two daughters, Kristi McCormick and her husband Steven of Twinsburg, OH and Becky Wilkinson and her husband Alan of Carlton; a sister, Shirley Isenberg and her husband Kenneth of Jamestown; a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Waid of Meadville and four grandchildren, Matthew McCormick, Shawn McCormick, Arnold E. Johnson V and Mark Wilkinson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Waid.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.

A private family graveside service will be Friday in Townley Cemetery with the Rev. David Brumagin, officiating.
