Emma Blanchard Cheney

August 9, 1863 — January 30, 1955

Mrs. Emma Blanchard Cheney, 91, of Meadville, died Sunday morning at Spencer Hospital, where she had been a patient for four days.

She lived her early life at Chapmanville and was the daughter of the late Guy and Sarah Jane Marvin Blanchard.  Her late husband, Benjamin, died in 1906.

She was a Meadville resident for 60 years except for four years in Indiana.  She was a member of Grace Methodist Church, Meadville Grange and the Golden Crown Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include a son, Carl Cheney, Sr., four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Mount Hope Cemetery.
