Emma Louise Overall

August 20, 1930 — March 12, 1999

Emma Louise Overall, 68, of Meadville, died Friday, March 12, 1999, at home following an illness of two and a half years.

She was born in Philadelphia, August 20, 1930, a daughter of Norman and Catherine Schwartz Ellison, Jr.  She married Walter Gallagher, Jr., July 12, 1952.  She later married Neill Kennedy Overall, February 14, 1970.  He preceded her in death September 4, 1998.

She was a graduate of Shipley School of Virginia and St. Catherines Episcopal School; a 1949 graduate of Radnor High School; and a 1951 graduate of Pierce School of Business Administration in Philadelphia.

She had been a member and past worthy matron of Mead Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and most recently was a member of Golden Crown Chapter.

She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church; a former lay Eucharistic minister; a member of the Pastoral Care Committee and retired in 1992 as church secretary after many years.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ellen (Bebe) Anderson (Donald) of Meyersdale; two sons, Thomas Ellison Gallagher (Donna) of Guys Mills and Walter (Tad) Gallagher III (Tammy) of Meadville; five grandchildren, Shane, Shelby, Shalon, Michael and Amy Gallagher; and a sister, Katherine A. Pearson of Canton Center, CT.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Ellen Ballard.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment of cremated remains was in the columbarium of Christ Church Episcopal, Meadville.
