Emma Orris, 85, a patient at Crawford County Care Center since September 1988, formerly of Meadville, died Thursday, May 24, 1990, at the care center following a period of failing health.
She was born in Duquesne, December 21, 1904, a daughter of Daniel and Suzanna Bartok Toboz. She married Charles Orris on April 23, 1925. He preceded her in death on November 5, 1969.
She was a homemaker; member, Emmanuel United Church of Christ and its Ladies Aid Society; and former member, Gallavanters and Hobby Club of YWCA.
Survivors include a son, Edwin L. Orris of Waterford; two sisters, Mrs. George (Irene) Schroeder and Mrs. James (Elizabeth) Griffin, both of Meadville; two brothers, Louis Toboz and Edward Toboz, both of Fort Meade, FL; several nieces and nephews and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Charles Orris, Jr.; two sisters, Helen Bado and Eleanor Toboz and four brothers, Daniel, William, Leslie and Albert Toboz.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
